Iron Supplementation Clinical Studies

Iron supplementation is required when one’s diet is not able to support iron levels to normal levels. The purpose of iron supplements is to supply the proper amount of iron and support normal levels. Clinical studies document iron supplement benefits and how the body responds to them.

Proferrin’s active ingredient is heme iron polypeptide (HIP). To provide a better understanding of how heme iron polypeptide works and how iron supplement benefits can support good health, we have made the following clinical studies available.

The following information includes disease specific information. While it is internationally recognized standard practice to provide iron supplementation for numerous disease states, disease specific uses of Proferrin® brand iron supplements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
